Top 3 secrets for a perfect vehicle wrap

Vehicle wraps and fleet signage are becoming a popular technique in marketing. It gives a good impression when done right and makes your business look more professional. But it's not so easy, and mistakes can harm your advertising. You need to ensure you do it right the first time. Fortunately, with a few tips at hand, you'll be awed at the final product. Here are some expert tips to ensure that no mistakes are made.

Go for quality vinyl

Vinyl materials are in plenty, so you need to ensure that the one to be used on your vehicles is of high quality. There are two main categories of adhesive vinyl products that are used. Cast vinyl, which is long lasting, and calendared vinyl, which is of lesser quality. The former is a lot more expensive than the latter.

Go for cast vinyl if you want to have the signage last long on your vehicles. Though the difference between the two types is hardly noticeable, calendared vinyl fades faster as compared to cast vinyl.

You can also choose to have the two types mixed so as to lower your costs since cast vinyl is very expensive. However, even when mixing the two, ensure you use cast vinyl on the edges and curves of the vehicle. Calendared vinyl doesn't stick well on curves, and it easily peels off after a short period of time.

Limit your copying

When doing your branding, you need to keep your wrap to a minimum. Don't overdo it. You won't be doing yourself any favours when your signage is full of bullet lists. Such wraps are not easily remembered. Go for a simplistic look and have your brand logo, contact and perhaps a tagline. You'd rather have one thing that is easily recalled than many meaningless writings.

Preparation

Another crucial factor that'll determine the success of your wrap is the kind of preparation done. You need to prep your vehicle way before any vinyl touches its body. Your auto body needs to be in an almost new condition, so any dents present need to be rectified beforehand. You'd be able to see the imperfections through the film.

Also have your car cleaned thoroughly. Any wax residue or dirt needs to be completely removed, because it greatly affects the adhesive properties of the vinyl. The dirt causes the adhesive to lift and peel off after a short period.

About Me

Multilingual park and tourist signs

If you live in a diverse neighbourhood that has signs that lets park users know what is expected of them (including any limitations on keeping dogs on leashes, picking up dog poo and not smoking), this can help the neighbourhood users get along much better. Many people from different cultures are also interested in the history of shared public spaces such as knowing what buildings used to be on the park site and which person or event the park was named after. If you are looking to erect some multilingual signs in your park or public space, then read on for hints on how to maximise their effectiveness.
